Commentary for the dedication ceremony June 4, 2009

Special guests and neighbors Esther and Bernie Bowman were introduced as participants in the dedication ceremony.  Mrs. Bowman grew up in the house formerly situated in the vicinity of the teeing area of the  new practice facility.  Member Jim Cooper was acknowledged for his assistance in obtaining the lasting memorial to Mr. Kirchner from the Verdin Company..  President Mike Tomasetti read the inscriptions on the clock tower in honor of Mr. Kirchner.  Mr. Wiley Piaza (former neighbor and friend of Mr. Kirchner) offered some interesting insights and humor pertaining to Mr. Kirchner and his zeal for the game of golf and his love for Miami View.

Members and Charter Widow Members hit the ceremonial tee shot to officially open the new practice facility.
